02/28/2009 - Lubbock, TX (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - Blake Griffin logged 37 minutes in his first game in a week and didn't miss a beat, logging 20 points and 19 rebounds, as No. 3 Oklahoma fought off the upset-minded Texas Tech Red Raiders, 78-63.

Griffin suffered a concussion in the first half of last weekend's tilt against Texas and sat out Monday's pivotal conference matchup vs. Kansas. The Sooners (26-3, 12-2 Big 12) lost both games without the National Player of the Year front-runner to fall behind the Jayhawks in the Big 12 standings.

Blake and brother Taylor's 22-point, eight-rebound effort got Oklahoma back to its winning ways on Saturday. The team made 49.1 percent of its shots and won the battle on the glass, 36-22. Austin Johnson chipped in 10 points for the victors.

John Roberson paced the Red Raiders (12-17, 2-12) with 17 points and seven assists but it wasn't enough in Texas Tech's 10th loss in 11 games. Nick Okorie and Robert Lewandowski posted 13 and 11 points, respectively, in defeat.

Midway through the second half, Omar Leary sank a three-pointer to end a mini- drought for Oklahoma, which led 53-49 with nine minutes on the clock.

It was a three-point margin a little later and Blake Griffin managed a hoop and a foul, hitting the free throw for a 59-53 edge with 6 1/2 minutes to go.

After two Roberson freebies, Johnson nailed a three-ball around two makes from Taylor Griffin and the visitors jumped out to a 66-55 advantage.

Lewandowski made it a nine-point game on a jumper with less than 3:30 left. Johnson, though, was again true from behind the arc to rebuild the Sooners' double-digit lead.

Oklahoma proceeded to hit six straight free throws while the Red Raiders turned the ball over and missed two threes to fall just short yet again.

The Griffin brothers combined for the first seven points of the game, and the Sooners appeared to be ready for a much-needed blowout win.

But the Red Raiders battled throughout the first half, getting within two points, 28-26, on Roberson's jumper late in the stanza. Blake Griffin dropped in a pair of buckets around a Davis three-pointer before TTU's Mike Singletary sank two free throws for a 35-28 score at halftime.

Johnson's two free throws 3 1/2 minutes into the second half had the Sooners ahead, 46-35. TTU's subsequent 9-2 run made it a four-point game and Lewandowski's three-point play at the midway point got the hosts within 50-49.

Game Notes

Oklahoma cruised past Texas Tech by a 95-74 final just two weeks ago and owns a 29-16 series advantage over the Red Raiders...Alan Voskuil finished with 10 points for Texas Tech, which made 37.9 percent from the field in the loss.

MySportsbook.com favors Bears, Bengals, Chargers and Colts to remain perfect

LAS VEGAS , Sept. 28 - Two big match-ups of undefeated teams have fans salivating at the Week Four schedule in the NFL. The Chicago Bears stifling defense looks to provide a less than hospitable welcome to the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday night in a battle of two 3-0 teams in the NFC conference. In the AFC, the San Diego Chargers (2-0) head to Maryland to face the surprising Baltimore Ravens (3-0) as both try to keep pace atop the conference standings. Betting Lines makers at MySportsbook.com, online sportsbook and casino, have set the Bears as 3.5 point favorites while the Chargers are a 2.5 point bet.

Of the three remaining undefeated teams, only one, New Orleans, enters this week's game as an underdog. Despite an emotional and resounding win over Atlanta on Monday night, the Saints are a 7.5 point underdog against the struggling Carolina Panthers. Indianapolis looks to stay perfect when they face the New York Jets as a 9 point road favorite while the Cincinnati Bengals are a 6 point favorite at home to the New England Patriots.

Six teams enter the week still looking for their first win, with a seventh, Tampa Bay, on a bye week. The prospect of dropping another game would not bode well for a potential playoff run. Since 1990, just three teams -- the 1992 Chargers, 1995 Detroit Lions and 1998 Buffalo Bills -- have overcome losing their first three games of the season to earn a postseason berth. And only the Chargers managed to accomplish the feat after starting 0-4.
