05/14/2010 - Dover, DE (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - Kyle Busch confirmed on Friday at Dover International Speedway that he will not run a full season in the Nationwide Series this year.
Busch, a Sprint Cup Series regular, won the Nationwide championship in dominating fashion in 2009. He scored nine victories and finished 210 points ahead of runner-up Carl Edwards for his first title in one of NASCAR's three national touring series.
Joe Gibbs plans to have Busch, Denny Hamlin and Joey Logano focus more on their Sprint Cup duties in hopes of all three drivers qualifying for the championship chase later this year.
"I think I've been shot down on a full-time Nationwide, so that's done," Busch said. "Brad Coleman will be racing in the car in the races that I am not, and I believe we all know that Matt DiBenedetto will be racing...in the 20 car that Logano or Hamlin aren't."
The next stand-alone race for Nationwide is June 5 at Nashville. Sprint Cup will be at Pocono that weekend.
Busch, with three Nationwide victories so far this year, is currently 55 points behind leader and fellow Sprint Cup competitor Brad Keselowski, who is scheduled to run a full-time in this series this season.
Sprint Cup drivers Carl Edwards and Paul Menard are also attempting a full- time run in Nationwide. Kevin Harvick has yet to decide his status in the series for the remainder of the year.
Busch is competing in all three of NASCAR's races at Dover this weekend. He is in his first year as driver and owner of his Camping World Truck Series team.

Kurt Warner to start, Matt Leinart to watch
Despite the debate that's swirling , Kurt Warner will remain the starting quarterback for the Arizona Cardinals, coach Dennis Green said today. The Arizona Cardinals are the +7 point underdog at online sportsbook MySportsbook.com for this Sunday's game.
Green's comment came in a statement released by the team following an ESPN report that Green decided that rookie Matt Leinart would replace Warner as starter for Sunday's game at Atlanta.
"Generally talking about the starting lineup is not something we do," Green told the AP. "However, given the speculation that was out there we want to make it clear. We're disappointed after last week, but we still expect to be a playoff football team and we fully expect Kurt Warner to be the quarterback that leads us. That has not changed."
